Project TRANSFORM was first launched in Ormoc City during DENR’s Multistakeholder forum in the Visayas and later in the three municipalities of Surigao del Norte.

In their messages, DENR Secretary Antonia Loyzaga and Cong. Abet, underscored the importance of putting together the best practices from both the government and the private sectors to deliver an inclusive science-based and data-driven template in fighting the accelerating climate change.

The signing of the partnership agreements on Project TRANSFORM followed such as, 1Bataan Base Map- Land Inventory Project, Pledge of Commitment from the business sector on the implementation of RA 11898 or the Expanded Producer Responsibility (EPR), Establishment of Real time Air Quality monitoring/Early Warning System, Mangrove Rehabilitation Program, Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Accounting, Economic Resilience and Barangay Resilience.

Said event also serves as a campaign to raise understanding and obtain commitments among large enterprises, volunteers among micro, small and medium enterprises, coinciding with the rollout in Bataan Province of Project TRANSFORM, the new resilience and sustainability program of DENR for local government units.
